Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a product with great advantages and numerous uses. It can be used both on the scalp and on the skin of the face and neckline, among many other possibilities.

It is used in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of alopecia, acne scars, blemishes and skin aging.

Its main advantage is that it is a product that is obtained from the patients themselves, so it does not cause allergic reactions or rejection problems.

To obtain PRP, blood is drawn like for a normal blood test, and it is placed in a machine (centrifuge) that separates blood into various parts. One of them will be the PRP, which we will inject through very fine needles (mesotherapy) in the area of the skin that we want to treat or through micropuncture with a dermapen.

It is a minimally painful technique and very good results are achieved with it.

Platelet-rich plasma contains abundant growth factors, substances that help to generate new blood vessels in the treated area, driving more nutrients to it, which help us increase the proliferation of cells and fibers such as collagen and elastin.

What are its effects?

In the case of injetion of the scalp for the treatment of alopecia, the appearance of new hair is achieved and the thickness of the existing one is increased. All this is perceived as an increase in capillary density.

In the case of infiltration of the skin (face or neckline) for the treatment of photo or chrono-aging, it is possible to increase elasticity, reduce flaccidity, increase luminosity and reduce wrinkles, spots and scars.

An average of 3-4 sessions a year are recommended, separated by 4 or 6 weeks. It should once a year to maintain the effects. Improvement is observed from the first day, but the effects are maximum 20-30 days after the first session. Improvement in the treatment of alopecia is generally noticed after the 2nd session.

PDO monofilament threads are threads of a fully biodegradable material, the thickness of a hair which inserted under the skin allow a lifting, filling and rejuvenating effect on the skin without losing its distinctive features. They also have a stimulating effect on collagen and elastin.

There are different types of threads, the spiculated ones, which serve to tighten, and the non-spiculated ones that serve more as filler and collagen induction. The latter are very well tolerated and do not usually cause bruising.

Its effect starts during the month from the introduction and the effect can last up to 18 months.

Mesotherapy with hyaluronic acid and vitamins can be performed at any age, ideally 3 sessions are performed with a space of between two weeks and a month, with subsequent maintenance every 6 months. Other cosmetic assets can also be used depending on what we want to treat.

This procedure is ideal for treating acne marks, blemishes, increasing luminosity and hydration, and reducing superficial wrinkles.

It can also be done on the scalp with specific active ingredients to stimulate hair growth.

Micropuncture It is a technique based on the use of microneedles to puncture the skin that cause an inflammatory reaction, achieving an increase in the production of collagen and elastin.

Microchannels are also formed that increase the permeability of the skin, which allows the application of cosmetic active ingredients and increases their absorption.

We can use this technique both on the scalp, on the face and on the whole body.

What are its effects?

If used on the scalp, it stimulates the growth of the hair follicle, that is, hair growth. If used on the face, it stimulates the formation of fibroblasts that produce elastin and collagen, improving the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and skin texture.

We also improve the firmness of the skin and blemishes

We offer custom hair treatments, with mesotherapy or microneedling (depending on the technique we use).

These two techniques allow us to stimulate the hair follicle by applying hair loss treatments and hair growth stimulators.

But with this technique we can also apply Platelet Rich Plasma obtained from the patient himself.
